Rewco, Inc. seeks a person who resides in the Baltimore/Washington DC are for a full-time position as a Training and Merchandising Associate for its Wellness & Lifestyles Group. The associate service about 15 stores in the Baltimore/Washington area. Extensive travel within the territory and some travel outside of the territory is required. This is a fun job with a great company. Rewco provides educational and support services to select supermarket natural food department employees in stores located in Upstate New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Provide educational training to store associates
- Participate in new store setups and grand openings
- Coordinate and assist with store level consumer education events.
- Provide merchandising support to store associates
- Provide general training and support to store associates when needed
- Attend brand/product trainings
- Provide detailed reports/feedback to our customer’s corporate office from store level
- Troubleshoot product, department and distributor issues at store level
Requirements
- A deep passion and expertise for the natural/organic food industry, brands & products
- Strong Presentation and training skills
- Retail merchandising and/or store management experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license, in-force car insurance and clean driving record
- Occasional Overnight travel
- Occasional weekend days required
- Basic Microsoft office skills
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Self-motivation and strong work ethic

We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to join our already successful team in Rockville, MD. The successful candidate will have prior management experience in high volume restaurants or hospitality environments and the desire to learn. Wine and/or beverage knowledge is a plus.
Duties include:
Operational Responsibility
• Managing all aspects of the restaurant in accordance with the goals, objectives and culture set forth by the company.
• Maintain a high standard of quality with regard to product, people, sanitation and safety.
• Responsible for the delegation of work, recommendation of action on team members.
Financial Performance
• Achievement of all budgeted Sales and EBITDA
• Continued Customer Count and Sales Growth
• Oversees and ensures compliance with all weekly financial controls
• Reviews both BOH & FOH schedules weekly to help control labor cost
• Ensures there is accountable for successful execution of all operating systems (ordering, receiving, inventorying etc.) that impact the financial performance of the operation
• Ensure proper execution of all Accounting functions (checks signed on timely basis, proper invoice coding, review comps and voids, etc.)
Management/Staff Development
• Regular team member meetings
• Responsible for team member schedules
• Development and implementation of Training Programs for all departments
• Ensure proper execution of all Human Resources functions (proper interviewing, hiring, documentation, termination, performance reviews, etc.)
Customer Satisfaction
• 100% guest satisfaction
• Culture of hospitality (as if in own home)
• Drive for excellence
Quality Standards
• Ensure the highest quality food, beverage and supply product
• Ensure the restaurant maintains the highest quality service and hospitality
• Communicate quality standards to the kitchen
Sales & Marketing
• Involved in all aspects of Sales (internal and external), Marketing (internal and external), Promotions and Advertising
• Communicate with marketing, communicate marketing to staff
• Ensures proper execution of all internal marketing initiatives
Communication
• Communicates with team on menu planning, operational needs, team member needs and all special events or functions
• Ensures proper communication on any pertinent topics from Corporate to Restaurant
• Motivate teams for success
